WYTHALL WI - WYTHALL CARNIVAL

- 11 AUGUST 2019

There had been heavy showers in the morning and some shorter ones in the afternoon making conditions difficult & very muddy underfoot.
Members had contributed over 100 bottles containing various substances for our Bottle Tombola.
Also cakes and puddings had been made by members to sell.
All items were sold but due to the appauling weather there didn't appear to be as many visitors,

WELL DONE ALL THOSE WHO HAD CONTRIBUTED & VOLUNTEERED THEIR TIME ON THE DAY.

There was a fantastic turn out for Wythall WIs Easter Fair.
Admission included a hot cross bun (which were delicious - just like they used to be) & a hot drink.
There were plenty of stalls for visitors to view and purchase from with items including knitted bunnies, chicks & baskets containing chocolate eggs. All the knitted items were made by one of our members.
Others included books & puzzles, bric a brac, guess the weight of an Easter cake made by our president, small cakes made by the committee, jewellery, cosmetics, knitted baby items, preserves and a raffle with lots of Easter prizes.
The hall was decorated appropriately and there was lots of laughter, friendship and chatter with people meeting up with friends old and new.
A fantastic success.

As part of WFWI Centenary celebrations, Wythall WI held a Garden Party and invited members of other WI's as well as their family and friends.
Stalls included nearly new, plants, raffle, guess the number of buttons, bring & buy, preserves, homemade items/produce and there was also a lovely cream tea included.
It was a glorious day but hard work setting up the stalls and preparing the the cream teas. However it was all worth while seeing everyone enjoying themselves in the sunshine and getting to know members from other WIs.

The true spirit of The WI.
