24 April 2019 - WASELEY HILLS

Card Making 001

It was a perfect day for walking but not so many members today.
The Waseley Hills is a great place for a stroll either straight up and down the hills or on a spiralling walk to the top.
The bluebells were out in the woods and The weather was fine although there was rain due in the afternoon.
Tilly the retriever was with us today and although it was thought she would not be able to complete the walk due to her age, she was encouraged by her furry friend, Lottie the schnazer puppy.
Good walk.

10 ladies & 2 dogs enjoyed a wonderful walk with nature (great for the mind) from the Visitors Centre at Arrow Valley Country Park.
The walk took us around the man-made lake where we saw lots of wildfowl, onto the area known as the'arboretum' which included some very mature trees. Here were some of the oldest trees in the park and some over 300years old. Then finally back following the River Arrow to the lake & the Visitors Centre.
We did take a slight detour after the arboretum to see Ipsley church (photo on Lt). Here we were offered refreshments & the opportunity to view inside the church.
